E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial at the Hollywood Bowl – September 4 – 6th – Watch this childhood classic in full HD accompanied by the LA Philharmonic. Viewing times are: 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday and 7:30 PM on Sunday the 6th.

Don’t miss the Los Angeles County Fair this year.  This fair will bring a bit of country into your life while you cheer at pig racing, take a spin on a ferris wheel, learn about farming and eat lots of deep fried food.

On September 5th through the 7th Hermosa Beach will be host to the 42nd annual Fiesta Hermosa.  There will be over 300 artisans (painters, photographers, jewelers, sculptors ..) live music, a kiddie carnival and lots of great food, beer and wine.

Labor Day is a great time to head to Long Beach and the Queen Mary – September 5th and 6th you can enjoy the Shoreline Jam festival and listen to raggae, rock, hip hop and reggae fusion.

On the 4th through the 7th you can cruise back to a different time on the Queen Mary.  Drink, dine, dance and take in the art deco exhibit.  Some say the ship is haunted.
