Visiting North Hollywood can be a memorable and unique experience for those that have never visited this city. One of these terrific tourist attractions is the California Science Center.

The Science Center is open all but three days a year and they do not charge their guests to see the permanent exhibits. The four major areas are the World of Life, Creative World, the Ecosystem, and the Air and Space Exhibits. The World of Life probes the commonalities of the living world from a bacterium that one has one cell to the human with more than one trillion cells. The Creative World exhibit is all about the latest in technology and how they meet the needs of transportation, communication, and structures. The Ecosystem beautifully shows off underwater life.

The Ecosystem has an 188,000-gallon kelp tank, that has kelp, fish, and other marine life in it, a desert flash flood, and a special gallery dedicated to the urban ecology of Los Angeles. This display also shows everyone that visits it to take better care of the environment. All three of this aforementioned exhibits have a Discovery Room for children younger than the age of seven where they can learn through hands-on experiences. The last key exhibit about the California Science Museum has is the Air and Space Exhibit.

In the Air and Space Exhibit, the museums visitors can see the Endeavor up close, SPACEHAB (a workshop for astronauts in space), the main engine of a space shuttle, and learn about the story of the Endeavor. This exhibit also shows how aircraft, spacecraft, and space probes are designed to apply the principles of air, space, and flight. The Science Center also has an IMAX theater that shows scientific films on the largest film screen in the motion picture industry. Knott's Berry Farm has a lot to offer their guests. They have a lot for all of their visitors to do that includes: rides, live entertainment, excellent experiences, dining, and shopping. Their guests also never need to go in search of a place to stay during their visit because Knott's has their own Berry Farm Hotel. One way to entertain a family at Knott's Berry Farm is to ride the rides.

The special experiences that Knott's Berry Farm has to offer their guests are: panning for gold, meeting the Peanuts gang, visiting the blacksmith, going to the one-room schoolhouse, and visiting the Western Trails Museum. For a nominal fee, the guests of the farm can pan for gold and learn about the gold rush era. They also can meet the Peanuts gang and have one-of-a-kind photo opportunities with them. The blacksmith will teach them about what blacksmiths do and, for a fee, guests can take home a handmade horseshoe or other piece of art. The schoolhouse from 1879 can to Knott's in 1952. When their guests visit this one-room schoolhouse, a teacher historian will share what life was like for students and teachers during that time. Lastly, the Western Trails Museum has antiques (including a one-hundred year old flag) and a lot of history lessons for the guests to learn.

History and fun: these are two key things that North Hollywood has to offer the people that visit there. They can learn about history and have a lot of fun while doing so.
