We know planing and hosting a Thanksgiving dinner can be stressful. So in order to help out, in this week's blog we have a mouth-watering mashed sweet potato recipe that will "wow" your dinner guest. Its also simply to make and requires little time or effort.
Ingredients
2 pounds of sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons of dark maple syrup
3/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
Black pepper
Let's start by poking into your potatoes with a fork and roasting them in a baking pan for an hour at 400 degrees. Next cut the potatoes into two lengthwise pieces. Now scoop out the center of the potatoes and throw it into a food processor (be sure to watch your hands cause they’ll be hot).
Now heat the butter, syrup, zest, and vinegar in a separate pan on medium heat for a few minutes. Next add the sweet potatoes into the pan and begin to mash them. Mix the ingredients evenly and season to your favorite taste with salt and pepper.
