Are you looking for Halloween themed events without the scary stuff? If you have young children Halloween can be a difficult time because of all the ghost and goblin costumes lurking around. If you are after something less frightening this holiday why not visit the Farmers Market at the Fairfax District in Los Angeles for a more family-friendly affair.<\/p>\n

The festivities will include carnival games, banjo music and bands, a petting zoo and costume contest for the young kids. The event is more of a harvest festival than Halloween celebration,which is perfect for the kids wanting to have some fun while avoiding all those scary costumes. The Farmer’s Market Harvest Fest takes place this Saturday and Sunday beginning at 9 and 10 am respectively. If you plan to take the young ones, have fun and enjoy the holiday. Remember the festival is completely free to enter and open to the public.<\/p>\n
